Job Title: CAD Infrastructure Software Engineer GitHub Workflow Automation

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

We are looking for a CAD Infrastructure Software Engineer with experience in GitHub workflow automation to streamline engineering workflows and improve development productivity. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Git/GitHub, Linux, scripting, and automation, along with an interest in leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain GitHub workflow automation for engineering teams.

- Automate software development processes using GitHub Actions and related CI/CD workflows.

- Manage Git repositories, including branching strategies, merging, conflict resolution, tagging, and workspace management.

- Create, review, and manage pull requests while supporting code review best practices.

- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

- Work on Linux/Unix environments to support and enhance CAD infrastructure.

- Participate in CAD infrastructure projects to improve design and development workflows.

- Utilize AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Codex, Claude, or similar tools to improve productivity and automate repetitive tasks.

- Troubleshoot workflow issues and optimize automation pipelines.

- Collaborate with software developers and infrastructure teams to enhance engineering efficiency.

Required Skills:

- Strong understanding of Git fundamentals (branching, merging, rebasing, conflict resolution, tagging, repository management).

- Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions or similar workflow automation platforms.

- Hands-on experience with Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

- Experience creating and maintaining automation workflows.

- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control best practices.

- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

- Experience with CAD Infrastructure or Electronic Design Automation (EDA) environments.

- Exposure to Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar automation tools.

- Knowledge of Docker, containers, or cloud-based development environments.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT/Codex.

- Experience supporting semiconductor or hardware engineering teams.

Primary Deliverable:

- Design, implement, and maintain GitHub Workflow Automation solutions that improve CAD infrastructure efficiency, developer productivity, and software delivery processes.
