CNC/ VMC / HMC Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC/VMC/HMC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating precision machinery, ensuring high-quality production output while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role is critical in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC, VMC, and HMC machines as per specifications, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, orthographic drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Program and set machine parameters, including reference points, tool offsets, calibration, compensation, and part programs.
• Install and adjust tools, collets, chucks, gears, bushings, and other machine components for milling and lathe operations.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform drilling, grooving, cutting, and machining operations as per production requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Detect and troubleshoot machine malfunctions by taking measurements, adjusting controls, and reprogramming machines.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Manage stock inventory and anticipate material requirements.
• Maintain production records and communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure continuity.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-10 years of experience as a CNC/VMC/HMC Operator, Machinist, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience in operating CNC, VMC, and HMC machines.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and machine setup procedures.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of G-code programming and CNC machine programming concepts.
• Experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to perform accurate quality inspections and measurements.
• Familiarity with milling, lathe, drilling, and production operations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
