Senior Data Engineer

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to build, maintain, and optimise scalable data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, cloud data warehouses, streaming systems, and data governance.

The role involves working closely with Product, Analytics, Machine Learning, and Clinical teams to create reliable datasets for reporting, AI, and healthcare :

- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.

- Build and maintain data warehouses and curated data marts.

- Develop semantic data models for Analytics and BI.

- Optimise SQL queries and warehouse performance.

- Work with healthcare data sources such as EMRs, APIs, event streams, and terminology datasets.

- Ensure data quality using validation, monitoring, and alerting.

- Implement data governance, access control, lineage, and security.

- Handle schema evolution, partitioning, indexing, and query optimisation.

- Support data analysts with reliable self-service datasets.

- Participate in production support and incident management.

- Evaluate and implement new data engineering technologies.

- Collaborate with Product, ML, Engineering, and Clinical teams.

- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
