Engineering Manager -.Net/Java

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in Java/.NET technologies and domain expertise in BFSI or Healthcare. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading engineering teams, managing end-to-end project delivery, driving process improvements, and collaborating with clients to deliver high-quality technology solutions. This is a leadership role that requires a balance of technical expertise, people management, stakeholder engagement, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage multiple software development projects from planning through delivery.

- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

- Drive process improvements to enhance engineering productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

- Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and provide strategic technology solutions.

- Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project delivery and escalations.

- Collaborate with business development and pre-sales teams to prepare technical proposals, solution documents, estimates, and client presentations.

- Identify opportunities for business growth within existing client accounts and support account expansion initiatives.

- Monitor project progress, risks, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution.

- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and Agile delivery processes.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Business stakeholders.

- Drive continuous improvement through performance reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in project or engineering management.

- Strong technical background in Java and/or .NET technologies.

- Experience in BFSI or Healthcare domain projects.

- Expertise in software architecture, system design, and enterprise application development.

- Experience managing Agile/Scrum development teams.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, project planning, estimation, risk management, and delivery management.

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and distributed systems.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

- Strong understanding of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

- Excellent stakeholder management, client communication, and team leadership skills.
