ServiceNow Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Developer with a strong software engineering background and hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing scalable ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in JavaScript development, platform customization, integrations, workflow automation, and security configuration. This role requires someone who can build robust enterprise solutions rather than perform platform administration or support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement scalable ServiceNow applications and platform solutions.

- Build custom applications, modules, forms, UI pages, Service Portals, and widgets based on business requirements.

- Develop and customize Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, and other platform components.

- Write efficient server-side and client-side JavaScript using ServiceNow scripting best practices.

- Develop reusable components using Glide APIs, including GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideSystem, GlideAggregate, and other platform APIs.

- Configure and implement Flow Designer workflows and automate business processes across multiple ServiceNow modules.

- Create and maintain complex approval workflows, notifications, catalog items, and record producers.

- Develop secure solutions by configuring and maintaining Access Control Lists (ACLs), roles, and security policies.

- Design, build, and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations with external enterprise applications.

- Implement cross-platform and UI integrations to enable seamless user experiences across multiple systems.

- Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and ensure platform scalability.

- Participate in solution design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.

- Follow development standards, source control practices, and release management processes.

- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills:

- Strong software development background with hands-on ServiceNow engineering experience.

- Expertise in JavaScript, including object-oriented programming concepts.

- Experience developing solutions using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.

- Hands-on experience implementing ACLs, roles, and platform security.

- Experience building REST and SOAP integrations with enterprise applications.

- Knowledge of IntegrationHub, MID Server, and web services.

- Experience with Service Catalog, Notifications, and platform automation.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

- Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.

Good to Have:

- Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server implementations.

- Experience working with Agentic AI solutions integrated with ServiceNow.

- Knowledge of Virtual Agent, AI-powered workflows, or intelligent automation.

- Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities, Generative AI integrations, or Now Assist.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Ability to work in Agile development environments and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
