Finance & Accounts Manager

We are looking for a hands-on, Finance & Accounts Manager with 8–10 years of corporate finance experience to own our end-to-end accounting, compliance, and financial reporting functions. In this role, you will manage daily cash flows, supervise robust tax and statutory compliance, and maintain institutional-grade records for management and investor review. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in tech or SaaS environments, with the agility required to thrive in a fast-paced startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash flow movements and ensure optimal allocation of corporate funds.
  
• Oversee and streamline the timely reconciliation of bank statements and related payment processes.
  
• Manage working capital efficiently to prevent liquidity bottlenecks and optimize runway.
  

2. Accounts Payable (AP) & Receivable (AR) Management

• Oversee vendor payments and ensure full, accurate compliance with statutory deductions such as TDS.
  
• Monitor outstanding receivables and actively track collections to reduce aging cycles.
  
• Implement robust credit control measures to mitigate bad debts and protect cash reserves.
  
• Assist in organizing data and updating financial models to support analytical requirements for investor funding rounds.
  

3. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Ensure all corporate financial transactions tightly adhere to internal governance policies and external statutory regulations.
  
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external audits by building and maintaining accurate, audit-ready financial records.
  
• Proactively identify areas of financial risk and implement practical corrective measures.
  

4. Statutory & Tax Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, TDS deductions, and related monthly/quarterly tax payments.
  
• Supervise all employee-related compliances, including EPF, LWF, and Professional Tax.
  
• Track and ensure adherence to company law requirements, working alongside external advisors for routine MCA filings and annual returns.
  
• Coordinate seamlessly with statutory auditors to drive smooth compliance cycles.
  
• Take explicit ownership of key ROC Annual Filings: AOC-4 (Financial Statements) by October 30th and MGT-7 (Annual Return) by November 30th.
  

5. Financial Reporting & MIS

• Prepare, close, and analyze periodic financial statements for core management review.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting to all relevant regulatory authorities.
  
• Generate recurring investor reports, tracking key SaaS metrics (where applicable) and assisting with financial projections.
  
• Handle ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis requests driven by management priorities.
  

6. Stakeholder Management

• Assist in maintaining collaborative operating relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
  
• Support the Head of Finance in monitoring fund utilization and preparing data rooms for subsequent Series investment rounds.
  
• Work closely with legal and internal compliance teams to coordinate financial due diligence processes.
  

Requirements

• Education: Post-Graduate degree in Finance, MBA (Finance), M. Com, or Inter-CA (Semi-Qualified CA).
  
• Experience: 8–10 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, and direct compliance management.
  
• Industry Domain : Must have prior experience in a SaaS, Tech, or FinTech company.
  
• Work Environment : Must have prior experience working within a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and hands-on execution.
  
• Technical Skills: Excellent command of accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime, Zoho Books, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
