Lead - Technical Architecture

Role Overview :

As the Lead - Technical Architecture, you will serve as the primary strategic visionary for our technology landscape, steering the design and implementation of robust, scalable systems. You will operate at the intersection of business strategy and engineering excellence, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into high-performance technical roadmaps. Your work will directly influence our digital footprint, driving large-scale application and platform modernization initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and deliver superior value to our end customers. Based in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, this role is pivotal in setting the architectural standards that will define our competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and oversee the implementation of complex enterprise-grade solutions, ensuring that all technical architectures align with long-term business goals and scalability requirements.

- Lead large-scale application and platform modernization programs, migrating legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures to improve system agility and reduce technical debt.

- Define and enforce architectural standards for microservices and API-led connectivity, ensuring consistent performance, security, and maintainability across all development squads.

- Mentor high-performing engineering teams by providing technical guidance and architectural oversight, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate emerging technologies and build strategic roadmaps that support the organization's digital transformation journey.

- Manage stakeholder expectations by clearly articulating technical trade-offs and architectural decisions, ensuring alignment between technical delivery and business outcomes.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying complex enterprise architectures, with a deep understanding of microservices patterns, event-driven systems, and API-first design principles.

- Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem, with a proven track record of building high-concurrency, distributed systems that handle significant transaction volumes.

- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating consensus and driving decision-making at the leadership level.

- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to balance immediate project delivery needs with long-term platform stability and innovation.

- Proven experience in leading large-scale modernization initiatives, including the transition from monolithic architectures to modular, cloud-ready platforms.

- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, demonstrating the flexibility to collaborate effectively across distributed teams and time zones.

- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a premier institute is preferred, complemented by 13 to 18 years of progressive experience in software engineering and architecture roles.
