About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead Urban Infrastructure to join our Government & Public Services (G&PS) Advisory practice. This leadership role offers an opportunity to manage large-scale urban infrastructure and public sector transformation projects while working closely with government departments, urban local bodies, development authorities, and other key stakeholders. As the Team Lead, you will head Project Management Consultancy (PMC) assignments and provide strategic direction throughout the project lifecyclefrom planning and implementation to monitoring, governance, and successful delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in infrastructure advisory, project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership, with the ability to manage complex government consulting assignments and drive impactful development initiatives. This role demands exceptional leadership, consulting, and project execution skills, ensuring high-quality project outcomes while adhering to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Leadership & Programme Management:

- Lead large-scale Project Management Consultancy (PMC) assignments for urban infrastructure and government development projects.

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government departments, consultants, contractors, and implementation agencies.

- Provide strategic leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and project closure.

- Develop project execution strategies to ensure timely delivery while meeting quality, cost, and compliance objectives.

- Ensure project governance frameworks are implemented effectively across all engagements.

- Review project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

Urban Infrastructure Advisory:

- Provide advisory services on urban development, municipal infrastructure, Smart City initiatives, transportation systems, water supply, sanitation, housing, and public infrastructure projects.

- Support government agencies in project planning, policy implementation, infrastructure modernization, and institutional strengthening.

- Evaluate project feasibility, implementation strategies, and operational efficiency.

- Recommend best practices to improve project delivery and public service outcomes.

Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior government officials, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), development authorities, contractors, consultants, and funding agencies.

- Facilitate coordination among multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless project implementation.

- Represent the organization during steering committee meetings, project reviews, and government presentations.

- Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication and timely issue resolution.

Project Monitoring & Quality Assurance:

- Monitor project progress against established milestones and timelines.

- Identify project risks, bottlenecks, and implementation challenges while developing mitigation strategies.

- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory regulations, environmental guidelines, and safety standards.

- Review contractor and consultant performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

- Develop project dashboards, MIS reports, progress reports, and performance monitoring frameworks.

Team Leadership:

- Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising project managers, engineers, planners, consultants, and technical specialists.

- Mentor and develop team members through coaching, training, and performance management.

- Foster collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards, governance policies, and risk management practices.

Consulting & Business Excellence:

- Support proposal development, project planning, and business development initiatives within the Government & Public Sector Advisory practice.

- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients based on industry best practices.

- Contribute to knowledge management, thought leadership, and organizational capability-building initiatives.

- Ensure successful delivery of consulting engagements while maintaining high client satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Planning, Engineering, Construction Management, Public Policy, Business Administration (MBA), Urban Planning, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.

- 10-12 years of experience in project management, infrastructure consulting, government advisory, or urban development projects.

- Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader or Project Manager on urban infrastructure, municipal, or public sector projects.

- Strong understanding of project governance, procurement processes, contract administration, infrastructure planning, and construction management.

- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
