1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Direct the procurement lifecycle for all infrastructure projects, including core materials (cement, structural steel, aggregates, bitumen), MEP equipment, and heavy machinery.
  • Evaluate project blueprints and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to accurately forecast material requirements and lead times.
  • Develop robust procurement strategies that align with project timelines, ensuring zero downtime on site due to material shortages.

2. Vendor Management & Negotiation

  • Leverage your 10+ years of industry experience to negotiate competitive pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Establish, maintain, and expand a reliable network of high-quality manufacturers, dealers, and local vendors.
  • Conduct periodic vendor evaluation audits based on quality, delivery speed, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

3. Budgetary Control & Financial Compliance

  • Strictly manage procurement within the allocated management budget constraints, ensuring maximum cost-optimization without compromising structural quality.
  • Verify, reconcile, and process purchase orders (POs), indents, and supplier invoices in coordination with the accounts team.
  • Implement strict waste-reduction and cost-saving measures across all active sites.

4. Logistics & Inventory Oversight

  • Coordinate with site engineers and storekeepers to monitor inventory levels, tracking material consumption vs. balance allocation.
  • Oversee inbound logistics, ensuring materials are safely transported, cleared, and delivered to project sites on schedule.
  • Resolve any disputes regarding material rejection, damage, or short-supply immediately.

  • Geographic Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the logistics, vendor ecosystems, and supply routes of Navi Mumbai and surrounding industrial belts.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, or specialized construction ERPs) and advanced MS Excel.
  • Competencies: Exceptional negotiation tactics, strong financial acumen, stellar leadership capabilities, and the ability to work under tight project deadlines.

Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1 + years of experience as an ERP Coordinator, Analyst, or Power User, ideally within the infrastructure, construction, or civil engineering industries. Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of major construction/enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or industry-specific software like Infor, Viewpoint, or Candy/BuildSmart). Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of infrastructure business processes, including specialized procurement (steel, cement, aggregates), equipment deployment, subcontractor work orders, and milestone billing. Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL queries, Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) for data extraction and reporting. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Preferred "Soft" Skills Clear Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple terms for field workers and site supervisors. Problem-Solving Agility: Infrastructure projects move fast and change often; you need to be comfortable troubleshooting system issues under tight project deadlines.
