Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- System Administration & Data Integrity: Oversee daily operations of the ERP platform. Monitor data entry from multiple construction sites to ensure accurate tracking of inventory, fleet management, and labour hours.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for different departments (Procurement, Finance, Project Management, and Logistics) to streamline workflows and resolve system bottlenecks.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate, customize, and analyze project cost-control reports, progress tracking, and financial forecasts for senior leadership.
- User Training & Support: Conduct onboarding and continuous training sessions for both office staff and site-based engineers to ensure high system adoption and correct data logging.
- Process Optimization: Identify gaps in current ERP workflows (e.g., procurement delays or inventory mismatch) and collaborate with developers to implement system modifications or custom modules.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve user errors, handle system permissions, and coordinate with the external ERP vendor for patches, upgrades, and system maintenance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1 + years of experience as an ERP Coordinator, Analyst, or Power User, ideally within the infrastructure, construction, or civil engineering industries.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of major construction/enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or industry-specific software like Infor, Viewpoint, or Candy/BuildSmart).
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of infrastructure business processes, including specialized procurement (steel, cement, aggregates), equipment deployment, subcontractor work orders, and milestone billing.
- Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL queries, Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) for data extraction and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred "Soft" Skills
- Clear Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple terms for field workers and site supervisors.
- Problem-Solving Agility: Infrastructure projects move fast and change often; you need to be comfortable troubleshooting system issues under tight project deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: A minor data entry error in raw material quantities can skew budgeting for a massive project—high precision is a must.
