Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for driving sales growth and managing client relationships within an assigned territory. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and qualifying new leads, conducting virtual meetings and product demonstrations, and presenting tailored technology solutions to prospective and existing clients. The role involves preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with technical and delivery teams to ensure successful onboarding and customer satisfaction. The Area Sales Manager will monitor market trends, analyze sales data, and report performance metrics to leadership while developing and executing territory-specific sales strategies. This position also requires regular communication with internal stakeholders to align sales activities with company goals and service capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in B2B sales, account management, and territory planning, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Experience selling technology services such as software development, web or app solutions, cloud services, or IT consulting.
  • Proficiency in lead generation, pipeline management, and use of CRM tools to track opportunities and performance.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical abilities for reading market trends, preparing sales forecasts, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Comfort working remotely, with strong time management, self-organization, and collaboration skills in virtual teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in technology sales.
  • Prior experience as an Area Sales Manager or similar role in IT services or technology solutions is preferred.
