Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Stock Clerk role based in Chennai. The Stock Clerk will be responsible for receiving, labeling, and organizing incoming materials, parts, and products in designated storage areas. The role includes tracking stock levels, updating inventory records, preparing items for production or dispatch, and assisting with basic purchasing and invoicing documentation. The Stock Clerk will regularly perform stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse or storage space. This position also involves coordinating with operations and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and smooth daily workflow.
Qualifications
- Inventory management skills, including experience with Inventory and Inventory Control systems and processes.
- Basic purchasing and invoicing skills, with the ability to support Purchasing activities and handle accurate Invoicing documentation.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills to collaborate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to maintain organized records and storage areas.
- Comfort working in a physical, on-site environment, including lifting, moving, and stacking goods as needed.
- Familiarity with inventory or ERP software and basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a stock clerk, store assistant, or warehouse support role is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
