Software Development Engineer Test - Mobile Testing

Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with hands-on experience in mobile test automation to ensure the quality and reliability of Android and iOS applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Appium, automated testing frameworks, and Agile software development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS mobile applications.

- Build and execute automated regression, functional, and smoke test suites using Appium.

- Validate application functionality, usability, and performance across multiple mobile devices and platforms.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.

- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.

- Execute manual testing where required to validate new features and edge cases.

- Participate in code reviews, test planning, sprint activities, and release validation.

- Continuously improve automation coverage, test reliability, and execution efficiency.

- Maintain test documentation, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.

Required Skills:

- 24 years of experience in Software Testing or SDET roles.

- Strong hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation testing.

- Experience testing Android and iOS mobile applications.

- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts.

- Good understanding of mobile application testing methodologies and QA best practices.

- Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.

- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation.

- Understanding of REST API testing and Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education (Mandatory):

- Full-time B.E./B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, MS, or M.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
