About the Role

We are looking for a highly seasoned and proactive Senior Accountant to lead our end-to-end accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience in managing Indian financial compliances (GST, TDS, etc.) and possesses a strong growth mindset. Beyond traditional accounting, this role offers a unique opportunity to learn and actively participate in US Deal Structuring and US Tax Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Accounting & Financial Management

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
  • Finalize books of accounts and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accepted accounting principles and internal policies.

2. Indian Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Calculate, prepare, and file monthly/quarterly GST returns and annual GST audits.
  • Manage TDS/TCS calculations, deductions, payments, and quarterly return filings.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government departments for assessments and compliance matters.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal tax laws.

3. US Deal Structuring & Global Taxation (Learning & Application)

  • Actively learn and assist the management team with US Tax Regulations and cross-border financial compliance.
  • Participate in the financial modeling and tax planning for US Deal Structuring.
  • Collaborate with international teams/consultants to ensure seamless integration of US and Indian financial reporting.
  • Stay updated on evolving US tax codes and international accounting standards.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA Finance (Qualified Chartered Accountants are highly preferred).
  • Experience: A strict minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in core accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar ERPs).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial formulas).
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian Income Tax frameworks.
  • Soft Skills & Attributes:
  • High Adaptability: A genuine willingness to learn new global regulations (specifically US Tax codes).
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with zero tolerance for reporting errors.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with global stakeholders.
  • Ownership: Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the accounting function.
