Manager - Canada Tax (Individual)

The Role : A Tax Professional with 7+ years focused on Canada T1 returns, who has performed reviews of tax files, possesses excellent communication skills, and is looking for a Senior Associate role in a hybrid setup in BLR/HYD/Kolkata.

Core Requirements (Must-Have)

• Experience: 7+ years in Canadian Personal Income Tax (T1 returns).
• Review Experience: This is mandatory. The candidate should have significant experience reviewing T1 tax returns prepared by juniors/team members. They should be able to catch errors, suggest optimizations, and ensure compliance.
• Signer Experience: Should have min. 1 year of experience as a Signer

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong command over T1 preparation and review (all major schedules, slips, deductions, credits, etc.).
• Good understanding of Canadian tax rules, including provincial variations (especially Ontario, BC, Alberta, etc.).
• Experience with tax software like Profile, TaxPrep, or CCH iFirm.
• Communication Skills: Very strong verbal and written English. The role likely involves client communication, queries resolution, and team discussions with onshore (Canadian) clients or teams.

Good-to-Have Qualifications

• Prior experience working in KPO/BPO, Big 4, mid-tier CA firms, or specialized tax processing firms handling Canadian/US tax.
• Exposure to T4, T5, T3, NR4, foreign income reporting, rental income, capital gains, etc.
• Ability to handle complex returns (self-employed, cross-border, investment income).
• Basic knowledge of tax planning and optimization strategies for individuals.
• Experience in quality review / second-level review processes.
