Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation to oversee the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems at our plant. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Systems
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, including LT/HT panels, transformers, DG sets, motors, MCCs, PCCs, and VFDs.
- Monitor electrical system performance and implement preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure minimum downtime.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical maintenance and project activities.
Instrumentation Systems
- Maintain and calibrate field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Monitor and maintain PLC, SCADA, HMI, and control systems.
- Diagnose and rectify instrumentation and control system issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of calibration records, maintenance logs, and system modifications.
Team Management & Reporting
- Supervise technicians and maintenance staff for daily operational activities.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Support plant audits and compliance inspections.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to company safety policies and industry standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and industrial instrumentation.
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, VFDs, MCCs, and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control logic diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance reporting.
