Job descriptionJob Description Position: Accountancy Teacher Key Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Accountancy, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, and related Commerce subjects. - Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the prescribed curriculum. - Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, examinations, and practical activities. - Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to help students achieve their learning goals. - Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress. - Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application of accounting concepts. - Integrate technology and modern teaching methodologies into classroom instruction. - Prepare students for board examinations and competitive or professional courses such as CA Foundation, CMA, and CS Foundation, where applicable. - Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and school/college activities. - Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and academic coordinators to enhance student learning outcomes. - Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and educational practices. Required Qualifications - Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com.) with specialization in Accountancy or Finance. - B.Ed. is preferred (if applicable to the institution). - Relevant teaching experience in Intermediate, Degree, CBSE, State Board, or equivalent curriculum is preferred. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial management. - Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching tools. - Passion for teaching and mentoring students with a student-centric approach.
