NielsenIQ - Senior Frontend Engineer

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Front End Developer to build high-quality, scalable, and responsive web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, front-end architecture, Agile development, and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using modern front-end technologies.

- Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components following industry best practices.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver customer-centric solutions.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Take shared ownership of sprint deliverables and ensure timely completion of development tasks.

- Conduct peer code reviews and promote coding standards, quality, and maintainability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while optimizing application performance and user experience.

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on front-end development best practices.

- Contribute to application architecture, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Support critical production incidents (Severity 1 & 2) and participate in post-incident reviews when required.

Required Skills :

- 5-9 years of experience in Front End Development.

- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js.

- Experience with Vue.js (2.x or later) and Vuex.

- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS), and responsive web design.

- Proficiency with Git, JSON, and modern front-end development tools.

- Good understanding of front-end architecture, software design principles, and component-based development.

- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with backend services.

- Good understanding of databases and data handling in web applications.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews.

Education (Mandatory) :

- Full-time B.E./B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, MS, or M.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
