Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

• Drive end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for multiple solar EPC projects.
  
• Develop long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business growth, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  
• Lead decision-making for high-value procurement and vendor selection.
  
• Ensure continuous improvement of SCM processes, SOPs, and systems.
  

Procurement & Cost Optimization

• Lead procurement of key solar components: modules, inverters, structures, cables, BOS, etc.
  
• Optimize total procurement cost through strategic negotiations, bulk purchasing, and alternative sourcing.
  
• Approve and oversee PRs, RFQs, POs, contracts, and commercial evaluations.
  
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
  

Vendor & Contract Management

• Develop and manage a strong vendor ecosystem across domestic and international suppliers.
  
• Lead high-level negotiations on pricing, contracts, delivery timelines, penalties, and warranties.
  
• Implement vendor performance management systems (KPIs, audits, scorecards).
  
• Drive vendor development and risk management strategies.
  

Planning & Cross-Functional Alignment

• Collaborate with Project, Engineering, Finance, and Sales teams for accurate planning and budgeting.
  
• Provide SCM insights in tendering, bidding, and project costing stages.
  
• Ensure on-time material availability aligned with project milestones.
  
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with efficient resource allocation.
  

Logistics & Inventory Excellence

• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, warehousing, and site deliveries.
  
• Implement advanced inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce working capital.
  
• Monitor material consumption, wastage, and reconciliation across sites.
  
• Drive logistics cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  

Compliance, MIS & Systems

• Ensure adherence to company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements (GST, statutory, etc.).
  
• Lead ERP implementation and ensure accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  
• Develop and monitor MIS dashboards, procurement analytics, and KPIs.
  
• Support internal and external audits.
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and scale the SCM team.
  
• Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and drive accountability.
  
• Build a high-performance, process-driven SCM function.
  
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce.
  
• 8–15 years of experience in Supply Chain / Procurement (Solar EPC mandatory).
  
• Proven experience in handling large-scale projects and high-value procurement.
  
• Strong expertise in vendor negotiations, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization.
  
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel / analytics tools.
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of GST, logistics, import/export, and international procurement.
  
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making ability.
  
• Experience in vendor development and supply chain digitization.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
