Sr Manager Legal

Exp: Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in contract management, litigation management, legal compliances, Merger, Acquisition and Joint Ventures & advising business verticals on legal & governance issues.

Qual: LLB

The Manager Legal position is responsible for:

Litigation:

• Managing litigation matters (approximately 100 cases every year)
• Developing and implementing strategies to ensure favorable outcomes, minimizing legal risks and financial exposure
• Collaboration with internal & external stakeholders and Singapore & Paris Legal Team.
• Regularly update stakeholders on potential exposures and litigation status.

Contract Management:

• Managing varieties of contract such as sales, purchase, services, business development etc. which includes drafting, review, negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring all contracts are compliant with legal standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Managing Approximately 2000 plus valid contracts and review/validation of 300 plus contracts & documents every year
• Promptly replying to notices received from stakeholders and issue notices to defaulting parties (approx.. 100-150 notices every year).
• Managing IPR-related issues in collaboration with TOTALENERGIES S.E. Trademark Counsels (20-30 issues p.a.)
• Conducting legal awareness sessions across business lines on legal, compliance, and regulatory issues, including company policies and procedures.

Miscellaneous:

• Performing land legal due diligence for ALDS sites (30-40 sites every year)
• Reviewing title documents, regulatory approvals, encumbrances, and related legal risks for 30 - 40 sites annually.
• Assessing legal risks associated with various issues and developing mitigating measures to protect the company's interests.
• Providing legal support for new business activities and projects as well as group projects in India, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and facilitate smooth project execution.
• Offering expert legal advice and support to business verticals on a wide range of legal issues.
• Coordinating with internal, reputed external counsels, APME legal teams in Singapore, Paris as well as judicial, quasi-judicial, government authorities and administrative authorities to ensure cohesive legal strategies.
• Keeping track of the latest judicial pronouncements, amendments to laws, and new enactments
• Assessing business implications and proactively create awareness among stakeholders regarding relevant legal change

Training and Awareness:

• Conducting legal awareness and training sessions on legal, compliance, regulatory, and corporate governance matters.
• Promoting awareness of company policies, procedures, and legal obligations across business functions.
