Technical Writer

Cotiviti is hiring a Technical Writer to join our dynamic, AI-enabled product documentation team focused on building smart, scalable, and user-centric content solutions using modern technologies and automation. In this role, you will produce high-quality technical documentation that contributes to the success of our teams and products. You will research, develop, and write materials for a technical audience, including release notes, online help systems, installation guides, system management guides, troubleshooting, and FAQ documentation. You will collaborate with the documentation manager and other writers to ensure content is clear, accurate, and aligned with user needs. You will also leverage AI tools and automation to improve content development, drive efficiency, and enhance user experience

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain documentation plans
• Research, develop, and write technical documentation
• Document business scenarios with clear examples
• Develop troubleshooting guides and FAQs
• Create training tutorials with code samples in Java, XML, and databases
• Collaborate with development, customer support, and product management teams to build high-quality training content
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Drive continuous improvement in content quality, reuse, and information architecture
• Design and implement scalable information architecture solutions
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate documentation best practices into products

AI and Automation Responsibilities

• Use AI-powered tools to accelerate content creation, improve quality, and increase efficiency
• Explore and implement automation to streamline documentation workflows and the overall content lifecycle
• Design and support automation solutions for content generation, validation, publishing, and updates
• Develop and optimize prompts for AI-assisted documentation workflows
• Document AI and ML-based features, APIs, and system workflows
• Apply responsible AI principles such as clarity, transparency, and usability
• Leverage AI for summarization, content reuse, and quality checks
• Support AI-driven experiences such as chatbots, intelligent search, and in-product help

Relevant experience and educational requirements:

• BE or BTech in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in JavaScript or Python programming and technical writing in an enterprise software environment
• Basic understanding of AI and ML concepts such as NLP, large language models, APIs, and data workflows
• Experience using AI writing assistants or automation tools for content creation or optimization
• Experience with MadCap Flare, including minimalistic writing and content reuse
• Experience in developing videos.
• Experience using Git-based version control tools, screen capture, and tutorial creation software
• Strong ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly
• Familiarity with Agile and software development processes
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
• Strong time management and decision-making skills
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies, including AI-driven tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must provide writing samples
