About the Role
We
are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the DevX team and own the build
platform and DevSecOps capabilities that power Audax's software delivery. You
will design, operate, and improve CI/CD pipelines, container build workflows,
and security gates used across dozens of microservice repositories — so
development teams can ship safely, quickly, and with confidence.
This
role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, release automation, and
application security. You will work closely with product engineering squads,
security, and cloud/platform teams.
Responsibilities
Build & CI/CD Platform
- Operate and evolve Jenkins and GitHub Actions
pipelines for mono-repo and multi-module builds (Java/Spring, Node,
Docker). - Maintain shared build libraries and reusable
GitHub Actions used org-wide. - Manage base image build and promotion workflows
(ECR, GHCR). - Improve Git workflows, branch/release strategy,
and artifact promotion aligned with the release calendar. - Support GitHub SCM governance: repo provisioning,
branch protection, and developer onboarding. - Automate environment provisioning and deployment
using Helm, ArgoCD, and Terraform where applicable. - Troubleshoot build failures, pipeline
performance, and release blockers across the engineering org.
DevSecOps & Supply-Chain Security
- Integrate and maintain security tooling in CI/CD:
SAST/SCA (e.g. SonarQube, Semgrep), secret scanning (GitLeaks), container
scanning, and dependency management (Renovate). - Operate Corki — our vulnerability management
platform — including quality gates, scanner integration, and remediation
workflows with app owners. - Implement and enforce container image signing
(Cosign) and admission policies (Kyverno) for internal and client-facing
clusters. - Partner with Security on policy design, exception
handling, and shift-left security practices. - Reduce reliance on paid/commercial security
tooling where open-source alternatives meet our needs.
Observability & Reliability
- Maintain monitoring and alerting for build/CI
infrastructure (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki or equivalent). - Respond to incidents affecting build systems,
artifact registries, or security pipelines. - Document runbooks, architecture, and
developer-facing guides.
Developer Experience
- Reduce friction in the path from commit to
deployable artifact. - Gather feedback from squads and iterate on
tooling, docs, and self-service capabilities. - Explore AI-assisted developer productivity
improvements where they add measurable value.
What We Are Looking For
Required
- 3–5 years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE
with hands-on CI/CD ownership. - Strong experience with Kubernetes (deployments,
Helm, cluster operations); CKA or equivalent practical depth is a plus. - Proficiency in Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions —
designing, maintaining, and debugging pipelines at scale. - Solid Git workflow knowledge (branching, PR
flows, release tagging). - Experience with Docker container builds,
registries (ECR, GHCR, Artifactory/Harbor), and image promotion. - Scripting in Python and/or Bash for automation.
- AWS cloud experience (ECR, IAM, networking
basics). - Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Exposure to DevSecOps: integrating SAST, SCA,
secret scanning, or container scanning into CI/CD. - Ability to troubleshoot independently,
communicate clearly with developers, and document solutions.
Nice to Have
- ArgoCD / GitOps deployment patterns.
- GCP or hybrid/multi-cloud experience.
- Tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, KubeScape,
Falco, HashiCorp Vault. - Kong or other API gateway management.
- Experience migrating workloads on-prem → cloud or
monolith → microservices. - Observability stacks: Grafana, Prometheus,
ELK/Graylog, OpenTelemetry. - Certifications: CKA, AWS Associate, CCNA or
similar.
