Job Description

Position: Accountancy Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Accountancy, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, and related Commerce subjects.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, examinations, and practical activities.
• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to help students achieve their learning goals.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application of accounting concepts.
• Integrate technology and modern teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
• Prepare students for board examinations and competitive or professional courses such as CA Foundation, CMA, and CS Foundation, where applicable.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and school/college activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and academic coordinators to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and educational practices.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com.) with specialization in Accountancy or Finance.
• B.Ed. is preferred (if applicable to the institution).
• Relevant teaching experience in Intermediate, Degree, CBSE, State Board, or equivalent curriculum is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching tools.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students with a student-centric approach.
