Global Delivery Services refers to EYs worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EYs strategy by ensuring effective support to EYs growth agenda.

Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80000 professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina China Hungary India Philippines Poland Sri Lanka Mexico Spain and the United Kingdom.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting Assurance Tax Strategy & Transactions and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless high-quality value-added support helping deliver exceptional client service.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective high-skilled and innovative services to support EYs global and local enablement teams. Markets BMC AWS Finance and Accounting Risk Management Procurement People Shared Services IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams along with Service Lines Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly accomplished Full Stack React and Java Development Lead with over 10 years of software engineering experience and deep technical expertise across ReactJS and Java Relational Databases as primary skills and Secondary skills like Python and Power BI . This is a leadership role responsible for driving solution architecture technical strategy and full stack development within a dynamic capital markets environment. Experience in Financial services or Payments domains is preferred as well as modern engineering practices such as microservices event driven architectures and CI/CD automation is essential.

This role blends hands-on engineering with team leadership technical governance and stakeholder engagement across risk data and product functions.

Your Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead the design development and delivery of complex full-stack solutions using ReactJS and Java.
• Own the architectural direction for microservices APIs cloud deployments and event-driven systems.
• Design and develop responsive web applications using ReactJS and build and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Drive engineering standards coding best practices architectural patterns and documentation culture and write clean reusable and efficient code following best practices
• Oversee solution design reviews performance optimizations and technical decision-making across teams.

Team & Delivery Management

• Lead mentor and upskill a team of developers
• Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on quality automation and innovation.
• Partner with product owners risk SMEs and data teams to define technical roadmaps and delivery strategies.
• Manage delivery timelines sprint planning workload allocation and cross-team collaboration.
• Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Execution

• Build and maintain backend services APIs and microservices using Java.
• Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines across build test deployment and monitoring layers.
• Contribute to cloud engineering initiatives (Azure preferred) including containerization and orchestration.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong people leadership mentoring and team development capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills across tech risk and business groups.
• Proven ability to make sound architectural and technology decisions.
• Strong problem-solving analytical thinking and delivery management.
• Ability to balance hands on engineering with strategic leadership responsibilities.

Skills and attributes for success

• Core Technical Expertise
• 10 years in software engineering with at least 3 years in technical leadership or engineering lead roles.

Primary Skills :

React / Front-end:

• Advanced knowledge of React TypeScript state management patterns component architecture.

Java / Backend:

• Deep expertise in Java API design microservices distributed architectures.

Architecture:

• Proven ability to design microservices event-driven solutions and cloud-native systems.

DevOps / CI/CD:

• Strong knowledge of automated pipelines build and release engineering and deployment strategies.

Cloud Expertise:

• Azure/AWS experience preferably Azure (App Services Functions Storage Event Hub DevOps Databricks).

Databases:

• Strong SQL data modeling and performance optimization experience across relational and NoSQL stores.

Containers:

• Hands-on experience with Docker Kubernetes and container orchestration.

Secondary Skills (not mandatory but added advantage if you have the expertise) :

Power BI:

• Strong hands-on experience with dashboard development data modelling DAX governance and performance tuning.

Python :

• Experience building scalable distributed data pipelines and integrating with analytics platforms.

Domain Knowledge

• Preferred if you have an good understanding and worked within the Financial services or Payments Domain.
