About the Role :

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong expertise in MATLAB, Model-Based Development (MBD), and Embedded C programming to develop and integrate embedded software solutions for automotive embedded systems. The ideal candidate should have experience in model-based design, auto code generation, ECU software development, and automotive communication protocols such as CAN and UDS.

The role involves working closely with system architects, software developers, and validation teams to design, implement, test, and optimize embedded software while adhering to automotive quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop embedded software using MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Development (MBD) methodologies.

- Design, develop, and maintain control algorithms for embedded automotive applications.

- Develop Embedded C software through both :

1. Manual coding

2. Auto code generation using Simulink Embedded Coder

- Perform model design, simulation, verification, and validation.

- Implement and integrate automotive communication protocols including :

1. CAN

2. UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services)

- Develop ECU software and support software integration activities.

- Perform debugging and troubleshooting using automotive diagnostic tools.

- Work closely with hardware, system, and validation teams during software integration.

- Participate in software reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.

- Ensure compliance with coding standards and software development processes.

- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and test reports.

Required Skills :

Mandatory Skills :

- 3 to 7 years of experience in Embedded Software Development.

- Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink.

- Experience in Model-Based Development (MBD).

- Strong Embedded C programming skills.

- Experience in :

1. Manual C coding

2. Auto code generation

- Good understanding of automotive ECU software architecture.

- Hands-on experience with :

1. CAN Protocol

2. UDS Diagnostics

- Experience in software integration and debugging.

- Strong debugging and analytical skills.

- Good understanding of software development lifecycle.
