SAP FICO Consultant

Role : Senior SAP FICO Consultant (8+ Years Experience) - Oil & Gas Industry

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant with 8+ years of SAP Finance and Controlling expertise to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end implementation experience, deep configuration knowledge, and proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP environments.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale transformation programs, support critical business operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative SAP financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and execute end-to-end SAP FICO implementations across the project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

- Provide expert support for SAP FICO production and enhancement projects, ensuring business continuity and process optimization.

- Participate in SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP migration and transformation initiatives.

- Configure and customize SAP FICO modules to meet complex business requirements within the Oil & Gas industry.

- Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements and best practices.

- Manage and deliver system enhancements, change requests, and optimization initiatives.

- Perform functional validation, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.

- Collaborate with technical teams on developments involving BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and custom solutions.

- Design and support cross-module integrations with MM, SD, PM, PS, Treasury, Asset Accounting, and other SAP modules.

- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP and technical teams during development and deployment.

- Provide user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of hands-on SAP FICO consulting experience.

- Strong experience in multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects.

- Proven expertise in SAP FICO configuration and customization.

- Experience supporting SAP production environments and enhancement projects.

- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP programs.

- Strong knowledge of :

1. General Ledger (GL)

2. Accounts Payable (AP)

3. Accounts Receivable (AR)

4. Asset Accounting (AA)

5. Bank Accounting

6. Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

7. Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

8. Internal Orders

9. Product Costing

10. Profitability Analysis (COPA)

- Experience working with BAdIs, Enhancements, and integration frameworks.

- Strong understanding of cross-functional integration between FICO and other SAP modules.

- Experience in system validation, testing, and deployment activities.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

- Exposure to SAP best practices for upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.

- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is an advantage.

- Experience working in global delivery and multi-country environments.
