Quality Assurance Architect - Automation Testing

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced QA Architect to lead the quality engineering strategy for enterprise web, mobile, and API applications. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for designing and building scalable automation frameworks, driving quality best practices, and mentoring QA engineers in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and drive the end-to-end quality engineering and test automation strategy across web, mobile, API, and database applications.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript.

- Build automated test suites for Angular web applications using Playwright.

- Develop mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications using Appium 2.x and WebdriverIO.

- Design and implement automated testing for REST APIs and database validation using SQL Server.

- Develop reusable Page Object Model (POM) and Screen Object Model (SOM) frameworks.

- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

- Lead code reviews, automation framework design, and testing standards across QA teams.

- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Define quality metrics, release readiness criteria, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Mentor QA engineers and establish automation best practices across the organization.

Required Skills:

- 8-10 years of experience in QA Automation and Quality Engineering.

- Minimum 4 years of experience as a QA Lead, Technical Lead, or QA Architect.

- Strong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript.

- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Appium 2.x, and WebdriverIO.

- Strong experience in REST API Automation and SQL Server database validation.

- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

- Expertise with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience testing .NET MAUI or Xamarin mobile applications.

- Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as k6 or Gatling.

- Experience with visual regression testing and contract testing (Pact).

- Understanding of OWASP security testing principles.

- Exposure to .NET/C#, Angular, and test management tools such as Zephyr, Xray, or qTest.

Education (Mandatory):

- Full-time B.E./B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, MS, or M.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
