Archer & Angel - Associate/Senior Associate - Intellectual Property Litigation

Desired Profile:

We are hiring an Associate/ Senior Associate - IP Litigation with a strong understanding of Intellectual Property Laws, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.

The role involves:

1. Handling IP litigation (Civil + Criminal side) at various levels of Judiciary including High Courts and Supreme Court.

2. Drafting all court applications, petitions to enforce or defend any infringement/passing off action.

3. Appearance before courts for arguments- both offensive and defensive cases.

4. Handling IP oppositions before quasi-judicial authorities.

5. Provide strategy on enforcement including advisory to client.

6. Assisting the Firm on matters other than IP, such as Civil and criminal matters - as and when required.

7. Manage Court cases including day to day docketing and file management.

8. Making a sound database of IP precedents.

9. Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies and other third parties on IP matters.

Technical Skills:

- Representing clients in court or before administrative tribunals to enforce or defend their IP rights.

- Sound knowledge of IP cases, IP prosecution before quasi-judicial authorities; strategy making for litigation, oppositions, offensive or defensive actions.

- Apt acumen for legal research on intellectual property laws, regulations, and precedents.

- Managing of court actions including day to day docketing and file management.

- Drafting of cease-and-desist letters, oppositions.

- Experience of providing opinion on IP contentious / dispute matters.

- Experience on negotiation.
