Backend Developer - Python

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Build and maintain scalable backend services using Python for high-traffic B2C applications.

- Design, develop, and optimize REST APIs and backend systems following clean architecture and best engineering practices.

- Develop and ship AI/ML-powered features, with exposure to Agentic AI being a strong advantage.

- Integrate backend services with third-party platforms and external systems.

- Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL/NoSQL queries for performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to build customer-focused features.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews and technical discussions.

- Debug production issues, improve system reliability, and continuously optimize application performance.

Requirements :

- Must have 3+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience using Python building production-grade systems in a B2C product environment.

- Must have 6 month+ experience building and shipping AI/ML based features (agentic AI experience is highly preferred).

- Must have a solid understanding of backend fundamentals, including API development, service-oriented architecture, data structures, algorithms, and clean coding practices.

- Must have experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs and backend services, including integrations with external systems.

- Must have strong experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including efficient data modeling and query optimization.
