Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AWS QuickSight Developer to design develop and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards and self-service analytics solutions using Amazon QuickSight. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in QuickSight along with hands-on experience in one or more leading BI platforms such as Tableau Power BI Qlik Sense Cognos. The role involves collaborating with business and data engineering teams to deliver scalable interactive and high-performance reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Development

· Design develop and maintain interactive dashboards reports and analyses using Amazon QuickSight.

· Build intuitive visualizations that provide actionable business insights.

· Develop reusable dashboard templates and standardized reporting frameworks.

· Design dashboards optimized for performance usability and scalability.

Data Modeling & Analytics

· Develop and optimize datasets joins calculated fields and business metrics.

· Create KPIs scorecards trend analysis and executive dashboards.

· Build drill-down drill-through filters parameters and navigation flows.

· Design BI-ready semantic datasets for business consumption.

· Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective visualization solutions.

AWS Integration

· Connect QuickSight with AWS data sources including Amazon Redshift Amazon Athena Amazon S3 AWS Glue Data Catalog and other supported databases.

· Optimize SPICE datasets and direct query performance.

· Ensure efficient dataset refresh schedules and access management.

Performance Optimization

· Optimize dashboard performance for large datasets.

· Improve SQL queries and dataset design for faster report rendering.

· Monitor dashboard performance and recommend improvements.

· Implement best practices for scalable BI development.

Self-Service Analytics

· Enable business users with self-service reporting capabilities.

· Develop reusable datasets and governed data models.

· Support business users in creating ad-hoc analyses.

· Provide documentation training and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications

· 5–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence Data Analytics or Data Visualization.

· Strong hands-on experience developing dashboards using Amazon QuickSight.

· Experience with one or more BI platforms such as Tableau Microsoft Power BI Qlik Sense Looker SAP BusinessObjects or similar.

· Strong proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.

· Good understanding of dimensional data modeling star schema fact tables and dimension tables.

· Experience working with AWS analytics services including:

o Amazon Redshift

o Amazon Athena

o Amazon S3

o AWS Glue Data Catalog

· Experience building executive dashboards operational reports and KPI scorecards.

· Understanding of SPICE Direct Query Row-Level Security (RLS) and dataset optimization.

· Ability to translate business requirements into effective visualization solutions.

· Experience working in Agile development environments.

Good to Have

· Knowledge of Python for data preparation and automation.

· Familiarity with AWS Lambda and Step Functions for analytics workflow integration.

· Experience with Amazon Redshift performance optimization.

· Exposure to Iceberg tables and modern data lake architectures.

· Understanding of data governance metadata management and security best practices.

· Experience integrating QuickSight with enterprise authentication (IAM SSO Identity Center).
