Quality Assurance Test Engineer - Offshore

Contract - long termAt least 8 years of extensive professional hands-on experience in Quality AssuranceAt least 5 years of extensive professional experience with automated testing tools and equivalent automation development skills with one or more scripting languages (JavaScript)Offshore - IndiaAs a motivated and self-driven member of the Technology organization, the Quality Assurance Test Engineer will be responsible for assuring consistent, high quality testing standards are utilized on all products and systems within applications portfolio.Primary responsibility of the test engineer is manual planning, test execution and process improvement. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of Playwright / JavaScript Automated Framework and test cases. Work with QA and Development to drive and improve delivery processes.Position Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area.At least 8 years of professional experience on a variety of projects in Test Strategy, Test Design, Test Execution analysis & reporting.Experience designing test strategies and end-to-end test scenarios and estimating test efforts.Hands-on experience with Automated Testing tools building framework and automated scripts using automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc. is a must. required.Experience in Java or JavaScript is a mustStrong understanding of software QE concepts, recommended practices, and methodology that cover functional testing, integration testing, regression testing and UAT.Ability to manage multiple test events and projects at a time.Strong hands-on experience in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies.Hands-on experience with Jira, ALM, TFS / ADO or similar systems of record.API testing tools & automation (Rest-Assured, SoapUI, Postman, SOAtest or CA LISA etc.) experience is strongly preferred.Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) : Familiarity with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Bitbucket is preferred.Hands-on experience using SQL queries for results validation and data mining.Strong ability to troubleshoot issues, identifying root causes and support development team in development of resolutions.What you'll bring to the role : High level of attention to detail (eagle eye mentality).Analytical and Critical Thinking.Working knowledge of quality assurance / quality management best practices.Push the envelope, establish and evolve QA practice.Good character and a great attitude (strong team player).Comfortable wearing many hats and can function well in a fast-paced company environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to quickly learn and understand business processes.
