Mainframe Vantage Developer - MicroFocus

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with expertise in DXC Insurance Products to develop, customize, and support enterprise applications for the US Life Insurance and Annuity domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Micro Focus, Vantage, wmA, and other DXC IP products, along with a strong background in mainframe development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Mainframe technologies.

- Design, develop, and support solutions using DXC IP products, including Vantage, wmA, DSS, and PPLUS.

- Analyze business requirements and deliver technical solutions for Life Insurance and Annuity applications.

- Perform application enhancements, defect resolution, and production support.

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release activities.

- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize system performance.

- Prepare technical documentation and ensure adherence to development standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe Development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Micro Focus technologies.

- Minimum 5 years of experience with DXC Insurance Products, including :

1. Vantage

2. wmA

3. DSS

4. PPLUS

- Experience working on US Life Insurance and Annuity Policy Administration systems.

- Candidate should be currently working on, or have recent experience with DXC IP products.

- Strong understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle and policy administration processes.

- Experience with application support, maintenance, and enhancements.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, and related mainframe technologies.

- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience in production support and incident management.
