Job Title : ServiceNow CMDB SME/Architect

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow CMDB SME/Architect to assess, optimize, and enhance the organization's ServiceNow CMDB implementation by reviewing the current CMDB landscape, identifying improvement opportunities, developing a strategic roadmap, and working closely with ServiceNow and delivery teams to implement recommended solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review existing ServiceNow CMDB architecture, design, configuration, and operational processes

- Assess current CMDB implementation and identify improvement opportunities based on industry best practices

- Analyze CMDB health, data quality, governance, and overall maturity

- Recommend and design scalable CMDB architecture tailored to business/technical requirements

- Develop a detailed roadmap and implementation plan for CMDB enhancements

- Define and optimize CI classes, relationships, Identification Rules, Reconciliation Rules, and governance standards

- Collaborate with ServiceNow platform, infrastructure, and delivery teams to implement improvements

- Ensure alignment with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and ITIL best practices

- Support ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with enterprise data sources

- Establish CMDB governance processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives

- Provide technical guidance and best practices to project teams and stakeholders

Required Skills :

- 8+ years overall IT experience with strong expertise in ServiceNow

- Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow CMDB solutions in enterprise environments

- Strong hands-on experience with : ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE), CMDB Health Dashboard, CI Class Manager, CMDB Governance and Data Quality Management

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices

- Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party tools via REST/SOAP APIs

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an added advantage

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Preferred Certifications :

- ServiceNow CSA, CIS - Discovery, CIS - Service Mapping, ITIL Foundation
