Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer Simulation to design and develop high-fidelity simulation environments and digital twins for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in robotics simulation, physics-based modeling, ROS2 integration, and C++ development, with experience in simulation platforms such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Unreal Engine, or Unity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-fidelity marine simulation environments using NVIDIA Isaac Sim (preferred), Unreal Engine, Unity, or custom simulation frameworks.
- Model realistic ocean conditions including currents, waves, buoyancy, hydrodynamics, turbidity, thermoclines, and underwater acoustics.
- Build accurate vehicle dynamics models including 6-DOF motion, thruster interactions, drag, lift, added mass, and buoyancy.
- Develop realistic sensor simulations for :
1. Sonar (Forward Looking, Side Scan, Multibeam)
2. DVL
3. IMU
4. Cameras
5. LiDAR
6. Acoustic Modems
- Create digital twin infrastructure for autonomous underwater vehicles.
- Integrate simulation environments with ROS2-based autonomy stacks for SIL and HIL testing.
- Design scalable simulation pipelines supporting Monte Carlo simulations and automated regression testing.
- Validate simulation results against real-world testing data.
- Optimize simulation performance using GPU acceleration and parallel computing.
- Collaborate with autonomy, perception, controls, and embedded engineering teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Game Development, or related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in robotics simulation, digital twin development, or physics-based simulation.
- Strong programming skills in C++.
- Hands-on experience with:
