Lead Developer (Frontend/React)

We are seeking a Lead Developer to join the frontend team of a large-scale, security-critical multi-market portal platform (React SPA frontend, AWS-based microservices backend, integrations with Salesforce Marketing & Sales Cloud) used across multiple countries in the financial services / automotive banking sector.

As the Frontend Lead, you will serve as the primary technical and delivery lead for the India frontend team, working closely with client stakeholders, product owners, architects, and global engineering teams. You will drive technical excellence, mentor developers, and ensure successful delivery of enterprise-scale React applications powering digital customer journeys across multiple European markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will combine technical expertise with delivery ownership, guiding the frontend team while actively contributing to architecture, design, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Lead the frontend engineering team and provide technical direction for React-based applications.
• Define frontend architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Review solution designs and ensure scalability, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Drive technical decision-making and resolve complex engineering challenges.

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact between client stakeholders, architects, and the offshore development team.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in requirement workshops, technical discussions, estimation, and solution planning.
• Provide regular technical updates, identify risks, and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.

Delivery Leadership:

• Lead a team of 4–10 frontend engineers.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and release planning.
• Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of project milestones.
• Coordinate with backend, DevOps, QA, UX, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Hands-on Development

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade React applications.
• Build reusable UI components and frontend frameworks.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs following API-first principles.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Support production issue analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education
