QA Engineer - Manual Testing

About the Role :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-focused Manual QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our customer-facing products through comprehensive manual testing. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to identify issues, improve product quality, and deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end manual testing across all customer-facing web and mobile applications.

- Design, write, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and regression test suites from scratch.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.

- Validate application behavior across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices.

- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and validate REST API requests, responses, and status codes.

- Verify and validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.

- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and work with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Track, document, and communicate bugs, risks, and quality metrics throughout the development lifecycle.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and product quality standards.

Bonus Responsibilities :

- Evaluate and test AI-powered features such as AI text assistants, voice bots, and agentic workflows.

- Create test scenarios for AI-driven user experiences and validate model outputs for accuracy and reliability.

Requirements :

- 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.

- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and QA best practices.

- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

- Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response validation.

- Hands-on experience writing SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
