Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
• Diploma/Advanced Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile---

• Extensive experience in Plant Safety, EHS Management, Compliance, Client Audits, and Manufacturing Operations.
• Strong exposure to international customer audits from US, Canadian, European, and other global utility/EPC companies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with global safety standards, ESG requirements, supplier audits, and international manufacturing best practices.

Job Summary--

The Head Plant Safety, Client Visits & Audit will be responsible for driving world-class EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards, regulatory compliance, client audits, and plant safety performance across transmission tower manufacturing facilities. The role will serve as the key interface for domestic and international customers, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies, ensuring successful customer audits and adherence to global safety standards.

Key Responsibilities--

Plant Safety & Compliance

• Lead and implement EHS strategies across transmission tower manufacturing and galvanizing plants.
• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other applicable statutory regulations.
• Drive safety culture through risk assessments, safety audits, training programs, and incident prevention initiatives.
• Conduct accident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor safety, fabrication activities, galvanizing operations, material handling, lifting operations, and dispatch areas.

International Client Audits & Plant Visits--

• Lead and coordinate customer audits, plant inspections, and compliance assessments from international clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact during visits by clients from the USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions.
• Ensure plant readiness for customer audits, quality assessments, ESG reviews, safety inspections, and supplier qualification audits.
• Present safety performance, compliance records, and operational excellence initiatives to global customers and consultants.
• Manage audit observations and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.

Compliance & Certification Management-

• Lead internal and external audits related to Safety, Environment, Sustainability, and Corporate Compliance.
• Ensure adherence to customer-specific safety protocols and international supplier qualification requirements.
• Coordinate with certification bodies, government authorities, and third-party auditors.
• Maintain all statutory, safety, environmental, and audit documentation.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management-

• Collaborate with Plant Heads, Manufacturing, Quality, HR, Projects, and Senior Management teams.
• Lead safety professionals across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Prepare and present safety dashboards, compliance reports, and audit findings to senior leadership and global clients.
