Role Description The Sr Associate will handle complex legal matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, agreements, and opinions across the firm's core practice areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients, conducting detailed legal research, preparing case strategies, and appearing before courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities as required. The role involves close collaboration with partners and other team members to manage transactions and disputes, ensure high-quality client communication, and meet deadlines. The Sr Associate is also expected to mentor junior team members, contribute to knowledge development, and support business development initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Mumbai office.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in real estate and corporate law, with experience in advising on transactions, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in banking and finance, including documentation, security creation, and lender/borrower advisory.
  • Practical exposure to infrastructure and real estate projects, including due diligence, drafting of project and property-related agreements, and regulatory approvals.
  • Hands-on experience in arbitration and dispute resolution, including drafting pleadings, preparing case strategies, and representing clients before forums.
  • Working knowledge of intellectual property and insurance laws, with the ability to review policies, agreements, and related documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.), with preference for candidates holding an LL.M. , Solicitor or equivalent advanced legal qualifications.
  • Enrollment with the Bar Council of Mharashtra & Goa and eligibility to appear before courts and tribunals.
  • Excellent legal drafting, research, analytical, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, work under timelines, collaborate effectively in a team, and mentor junior associates.
  • Prior experience in a law firm environment, particularly in the listed practice areas, will be considered an advantage.
