Team Lead- Procurement

This position will be based out of Bangalore office and will be managing a team of a specific category sourcing, procurement and planning.

Responsibilities:

End to end responsibility of requirement analysis, sourcing, qualification, negotiation, materials delivery and planning.

Sourcing & Negotiation

1. Prepare comparative statements of the quotations received from vendors to select best source of supply which involves through study of techno-commercial features.

2. Track and monitor yearly savings generated through new vendor development, negotiations, part development/product substitution or any other such initiative.

3. Develop local vendors for active and Passive items for Networking/Telecom components.

4. Thorough understanding of products to drive BOM Optimization and prepare data sheets.

Operations

1. Aid the category buyers in preparing RFP/RFQ and invite quotes from vendors via ERP systems.

2. Ensure conversion of PR to PO (Purchase Order) with a minimum turn around time.

3. Track and manage import shipments in coordination with Vendors, Freight forwarders and C&F agents.

4. Coordinate with Stores and regional ware house teams for material requirement planning, Goods Inward and resolve logistics issues.

5. Coordinate with Accounts team for payments clearance to vendor accounts

6. Prepare and circulate Periodic Procurement MIS reports

7. Minimize escalations through resolving day to day procurement issues with Accounts, Stores and User departments.

Involves travel/visits to suppliers on a frequent basis.

Desired Skills and Competencies.

• Graduate+ 5-7 years of relevant experience in sourcing, purchase, procurement and materials planning.
• Keys skills Negotiations, Techno functional analysis, Cost optimisation, Vendor scouting.
• Exposure to systems like SAP MM, ARIBA or other equivalent ERP systems.
• Must have the ability to get work done with multiple stakeholders spread across the geography.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Telecom industry will be a plus.
