Role Overview :
We are looking for a seasoned Senior/Lead iOS Developer with 8 - 12 years of experience to spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of our high-performance native iOS applications. In this role, you will own the architectural decisions, drive engineering best practices, and mentor a talented team of developers. Because you will be working across both modern features and foundational code, a deep, dual-mastery of both Swift and legacy Objective-C codebase integration is absolutely essential.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Architecture & Design :
- Lead the architectural evolution of our iOS apps, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and built for high performance.
2. Feature Development :
- Write clean, robust, and testable code in Swift and Objective-C to implement complex UI components and core business logic.
3. Code Quality & Mentorship :
- Conduct rigorous code reviews, establish engineering standards, and mentor mid-level and junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
4. Performance Optimization :
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and concurrency issues using Xcode instruments.
5. Collaboration :
- Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineering teams to define, scope, and ship new features.
6. CI/CD & Automation :
- Optimize the build, test, and deployment pipelines to ensure seamless delivery to the TestFlight and the App Store.
Technical Experience & Skills :
1. Mandatory Skills :
- iOS Ecosystem : 8+ years of hands-on experience building native iOS applications with a strong portfolio of apps published in the App Store.
- Languages : Expert-level proficiency in both Swift and Objective-C, including handling interoperability between the two in a single large codebase.
- IDE & Tools : Mastery of Xcode, including advanced debugging, profiling tools (Instruments), and memory management (ARC).
- Architecture Patterns : Strong command over architectural patterns such as MVVM, VIPER, or Clean Architecture.
- Core Frameworks : Deep understanding of UIKit, Core Data, Grand Central Dispatch (GCD), and Core Animation.
2. Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :
- Experience transitioning legacy Objective-C codebases into modern Swift.
- Familiarity with SwiftUI and modern asynchronous programming (async/await or Combine).
- Experience with dependency managers like Swift Package Manager (SPM), CocoaPods, or Carthage.
- Solid understanding of automated testing tools (XCTest) and CI/CD tools (Fastlane, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise).
- Knowledge of standard web technologies and protocols (RESTful APIs, JSON, URLSession).
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of technical leadership or mentoring small engineering teams in an agile environment.
