Manual Senior Test Analyst

Location: Remote (Australia Hours)

Engagement: 6 Month Contract - likely to extend

Client: Enterprise Financial Services Organisation

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst with strong domain knowledge in Australian home loan origination systems to support end-to-end testing across multiple test phases of delivery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in API testing, test management tools, and functional testing, with exposure to test automation frameworks as a future capability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements

- Perform System Testing (ST), System Integration Testing (SIT), and provide UAT support

- Work closely with the project team and stakeholders to understand requirements and validate functionality

- Conduct API testing using Postman and validate responses against expected outcomes

- Utilize Jira with Zephyr plugin for test management, defect tracking, and reporting

- Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting

- Perform basic database validation (queries, data checks) where required

- Validate end-to-end loan origination workflows, including application, approval, and settlement processes

- Support test planning, execution reports, and testing documentation

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong experience working with Jira and Zephyr plugin for test management

- Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman

- Solid understanding of Home Loan Origination Systems, preferably within the Australian market

- Experience in functional testing across ST, SIT, and UAT phases

- Ability to perform minimal database testing (SQL queries, data validation)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have / Future Scope :

- Experience with Selenium-based test automation frameworks (Note: Test Automation is not an immediate requirement but will be a future focus area)
