Manager QA/QC

A) Quality Assurance (QA)

• Approve and monitor:Quality Assurance Plans (QAP)Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)Method Statements and Work Procedures
• Ensure compliance with:Contract specificationsIS Codes / ASTM / International standardsClient and consultant requirements
• Conduct and oversee:Internal and external quality auditsVendor/subcontractor quality audits
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned.

B) Quality Control (QC) Functions

• Ensure comprehensive inspection and testing of:Concrete works (mass concreting, RCC, shotcrete)Underground works (tunneling, surge shafts, caverns)Dam and water conductor systemsStructural steel, reinforcement, and formwork
• Approve material sources and ensure:Cement, aggregates, steel, admixtures testingCalibration of testing equipment
• Monitor and control:Field and laboratory testing (site & third-party labs)NDT and geotechnical investigation results

C) Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure robust document control system across project.
• Review and approve:Inspection reportsTest resultsMaterial approvalsQuality dossiers
• Prepare and present:Monthly Quality ReportsKPI dashboards for management
• Maintain traceability of all quality records.

D) Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with:Statutory regulationsEnvironmental and safety norms
• Identify and mitigate quality risks in project execution.
• Integrate QA/QC with EHS and project planning functions.

E) Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in:Hydropower / PSP civil structuresDam engineering, tunnels, underground worksConcrete technology (mass concreting, temperature control)
• In-depth knowledge of:ISO 9001 Quality SystemsQA/QC tools & methodologiesRoot Cause Analysis and CAPA
• Leadership and team management skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management

F) Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the single point of contact for qualitywith:ClientConsultantsThird-party inspection agencies
• Lead quality review meetings and inspections.
• Resolve technical quality issues in coordination with design and execution teams.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
• M.Tech (preferred) in Structures / Geotechnical / Hydropower
• Certification in Quality Management / ISO Auditor / NDT is an advantage
