Note: we are looking for Credit Risk( Underwriter).

Role Summary:

Responsible for reviewing and processing merchant credit applications, assessing risk, and making underwriting recommendations in line with internal policies, sponsor bank guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Ensures timely decisions while safeguarding the company against credit and fraud risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze merchant credit applications, financials, and transaction profiles.
• Assess credit exposure and make underwriting recommendations as per company and sponsor bank policies.
• Evaluate potential exposure, fraud exposure, and business viability before approval/decline decisions.
• Coordinate with merchants, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to obtain required information.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and card network requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all underwriting decisions.
• Support timely adjudication of applications within defined SLAs.
• Escalate complex/high-exposure cases to Senior Underwriters or Management.
• Contribute to process improvements to strengthen exposure controls and reduce losses.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree (Finance, Commerce, Business, or related field).
• 4-6 years of experience in credit underwriting, exposure assessment or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of financial statements, credit exposure principles, and fraud indicators.
• Knowledge of payment industry, merchant acquiring, or fintech operations is preferred.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and exposure assessment tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with sponsor bank guidelines and card network rules (Visa/Mastercard).
• Exposure to merchant onboarding, KYC, and underwriting systems.

Documents to Carry:

• Carry a printout your updated resume.
• Carry any 2 photo Identity proof (PAN Card/Driving License/Voters ID card/Passport).
• All original education documents needs to be available for verification. (10th, 12th, Graduation (Sem Wise Marksheet, CMM. Provisional and Original Degree)

• Smartphone with good front camera, charger and Headset for Assessment, Government ID proof Hardcopy.

Pointers to note:
