Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Sr. Compensation Analyst role based in Bengaluru. The Sr. Compensation Analyst will design, analyze, and maintain compensation structures that support equitable, market-aligned pay decisions across the organization and for CompUp's customers where applicable.
Day-to-day responsibilities include speaking with clients and understanding their compensation programs. The role will partner closely with People, Finance, and business leaders to support compensation planning cycles, model budget and headcount scenarios, and recommend data-driven pay decisions.
The Sr. Compensation Analyst will also contribute to analytics, dashboards, and insights using CompUp's platform, helping to identify pay disparities, improve governance, and refine compensation policies and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Compensation Planning and Compensation Management to support annual and off-cycle pay decisions, budgeting, and governance.
- Proficiency in designing and maintaining Compensation Structures, including salary ranges, pay bands, and incentive plan frameworks.
- Advanced analytical skills, including comfort with spreadsheets, HR analytics tools, and market benchmarking data.
- Experience working with HRIS and related people-data systems; familiarity with equity, bonuses, and other Total Rewards components is a plus.
- Ability to translate complex compensation concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-specialist stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and maintain high standards of confidentiality and data integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications in compensation (e.g., CCP or equivalent) are a plus.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment (technology or startup preferred) and comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams on-site.
