About the Role

We're looking for an AI Growth Content Strategist to own illumine's visibility across Google and AI-powered search experiences like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves research, writing, SEO, and experimenting with emerging AI platforms. You'll create authoritative content, shape our topical authority, optimize for answer engines, and help make illumine the most trusted voice in childcare technology.

What You'll Do

AI Search & Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)

• Develop and execute illumine's AI Search (AEO/GEO) strategy.
• Monitor how illumine appears across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and other AI assistants.
• Build and maintain a prompt library to track our visibility and citations.
• Identify opportunities to increase AI citations, recommendations, and answer engine visibility.
• Optimize existing and new content for AI retrieval and summarization.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI search trends and recommend experiments.

SEO & Organic Growth

• Own keyword research, topic clustering, and content strategy.
• Build topical authority across childcare, preschool management, enrollment, billing, parent engagement, Montessori, curriculum, and related categories.
• Identify content gaps and create high-impact content roadmaps.
• Improve internal linking, schema markup, metadata, and content structure.
• Partner with developers on technical SEO improvements where required.

Content Creation

• Research, write, and publish high-quality long-form content.
• Create blog articles, guides, comparison pages, landing pages, resource hubs, FAQs, and thought leadership content.
• Collaborate with product, customer success, sales, and subject matter experts to create genuinely helpful content.
• Use AI responsibly to accelerate research and drafting while maintaining high editorial standards.

Measurement & Insights

• Track organic traffic, rankings, AI citations, share of voice, AI referral traffic, and content performance.
• Measure how organic and AI-driven discovery contribute to pipeline and revenue.
• Share insights, experiments, and recommendations with the wider marketing team.
  

What We're Looking For

• 4–5 years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or organic growth, preferably in B2B SaaS with up to 1 year of proven experience with AEO strategy and execution
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, keyword research, topical authority, and technical SEO best practices.
• Self-starter who enjoys ownership, experimentation, and continuous learning.
