About the Role
We are seeking a Lead – Developer Relations (DevRel) to drive our
developer engagement strategy and build a thriving ecosystem around
our products. As the bridge between our engineering teams and the
developer community, you will lead initiatives that empower developers,
advocate for their needs, and amplify our technology’s impact. This role
combines technical expertise with community leadership, content
creation, and evangelism.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Define and execute the developer relations
strategy to strengthen community engagement and product
adoption.
Community Building : Build, nurture, and scale a global developer
community through programs, advocacy, and partnerships.
Content & Enablement : Oversee the creation of high quality
developer resources (tutorials, blogs, sample apps, workshops,
documentation) to simplify onboarding and usage.
Advocacy & Evangelism : Represent the company at conferences,
meetups, hackathons, and online forums delivering impactful talks,
demos, and workshops.
Feedback Loop : Partner with product and engineering teams to
channel developer feedback into product improvements and
roadmap decisions.
Open Source & Ecosystem : Champion open-source contributions,
foster collaborations, and support developer influencers and
ambassador programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with marketing,
product, and sales to design campaigns and strategies tailored to
developer audiences.
Mentorship : Guide and mentor junior DevRel team members,
setting best practices for community engagement and technical
advocacy.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of experience in software development or developer-
facing roles, with at least 3+ years in Developer
Relations / Advocacy.
Strong technical background with proficiency in one or more
modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
Proven track record of creating technical content (tutorials,
blogs, videos, demos) and delivering presentations at developer
events.
Deep understanding of developer communities, open source
ecosystems, and modern software practices.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to
simplify complex technical concepts.
Experience building or scaling developer programs,
communities, or ambassador initiatives.
Familiarity with cloud, DevOps, APIs, and modern development
stacks.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global
environment.
Willingness to travel for community and industry events.
