About the Team:

As a part of the Political Analysis team at Varahe Analytics, you will have a chance to understand and analyze politics at the grassroots level in Goa, perform original research and analysis in areas related to politics for a national party with a presence across India.

This role is specifically intended for a Konkani-speaking local resource from Goa and requires a deep understanding of Goa's political landscape, local socio-political dynamics, and key stakeholders. The candidate will be involved in political intelligence gathering, grassroots engagement, and campaign-related activities across the state.

The role demands the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality, good social and communication skills, an eye for detail, and disciplined adherence to documentation protocols and deadlines.

What Would This Role Entail

• Closely follow all the key political and socio-economic developments in their assigned region along with a broad view of the state's and nation's politics
• Conduct rigorous primary research through phone calls to influencers, focus group discussions, interviews and investigative methods to understand the social and political landscape of the region
• Use secondary research methods to draw up detailed reports and insights on the state and constituencies to convey past and current political scenarios and developments
• Interface with client-side individuals, following all relevant protocols

Necessary Skills:

• Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree and above
• Strong understanding of Goa's political ecosystem, local socio-political dynamics, and current affairs.
• Fluency in Konkani and Marathi (read, write, and speak), along with proficiency in Hindi and English, is required.
• Excellent analytical, research, and logical reasoning skills.
• Experience in data interpretation and structured report writing.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Good to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in political consulting, campaign management, or public policy.
• Ability to build rapport with local influencers and political leaders.
• Demonstrated capability in managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
