Retail P&L and Merchandising Manager

Are you a data-driven strategist with a passion for retail excellence We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Retail P&L Manager to drive profitability category growth and operational efficiency across our retail this critical individual contributor role you will act as the bridge between sales performance and product strategy ensuring that market demands are met with precision and insight.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor track and analyze store-wise sales performance including Like-for-Like (LFL) growth and Direct Contribution Margin (DCM).
• Evaluate category-specific performance against LFL targets to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure optimal stock availability across all categories.
• Identify slow-moving inventory and provide data-backed recommendations for Return to Vendor (RTV) lists discounting strategies and Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT).
• Develop store clusters and manage tailored product assortments to meet the unique needs of localized markets.
• Design and manage comprehensive discounting grids and promotional schemes to drive revenue.
• Provide actionable insights to product teams regarding necessary assortment adjustments to maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 10 years of proven experience in retail planning retail operations merchandising or direct retail P&L management.
• Deep proficiency in tracking and interpreting retail metrics (LFL DCM sell-through rates) to generate actionable insights.
• Strong background in creating store clusters managing hyper-localized assortments and executing inventory optimization tactics.
• Hands-on experience in conceptualizing and managing promotional schemes and discounting grids.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate seamlessly across product supply chain and retail operations teams.
