Role Overview :
We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering Lead to spearhead our data integration and warehousing initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining robust ETL pipelines using Matillion to power our Snowflake data ecosystem.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to transform complex raw data into actionable insights.
By optimizing data flows and ensuring high-performance data modeling, you will directly influence strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT workflows using Matillion to streamline data ingestion from diverse sources into Snowflake, ensuring high data availability for downstream analytics.
- Lead the development of sophisticated data models within Snowflake to support complex business reporting and advanced analytical requirements.
- Optimize SQL queries and warehouse performance to reduce latency and improve cost-efficiency for business-critical data processes.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions that enhance data quality and governance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for data pipeline development, code reviews, and version control to ensure long-term system maintainability.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building and managing end-to-end data pipelines using Matillion and Snowflake DB, with a deep understanding of cloud-native data architectures.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation and performance tuning, alongside a strong grasp of dimensional data modeling techniques.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between data engineering outputs and business objectives.
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of professional experience in data engineering roles, showcasing a track record of delivering high-impact data solutions.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment across our Hyderabad, Pune, or Bangalore offices.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
