Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity ABB is looking for a Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) Expert to support ongoing critical projects by migrating huge volumes of data (CAD, ebOM, mBOM, Documents, etc) from legacy systems to Windchill using PTC framework of WBM. The candidate should also be able to extract and export huge volumes of data (CAD, eBOM, mBOM, Documents, Change notices, MPM links objects, etc) from the Windchill system based on defined criteria by business to support Carve out projects.

This role is contributing to the ELDS Business Function

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Understand business requirements and adapt WBM transformations to cater to the needs of the project to create the staging databases needed for data loading
• Loading data from staging databases to PDM link schema in the database of Windchill
• Own the complete migration stream technically and independently with minimum support from ABB.
• Coordinate database backup/restores/import/export with Infrastructure management services and project teams on the Windchill systems for data loading.
• Provide expertise in pre-data loading activities like data analysis, analyzing quality of data, reporting discrepancies and seeking clarifications with business stakeholders.
• Quick resolution and turnaround of issues reported during the data loading phase
• Ability to enhance and use custom tools developed by ABB which are used as an alternative to facilitate WBMFF analysis.
• Candidate should support System Integration Tests, User acceptance tests and weekend production cutover go lives to meet the tight deadlines set by ABB Business.
• Coordinate with IS project managers and Solution architects from ABB on daily basis on the project meetings and activities.
• Proactively participate and highlight issues/concerns on regular basis to ABB rather than doing so reactively.

• 10+Years of Experience in Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM)
• Any Graduate
• WBM Expertise is must have
• Windchill DB tables knowledge is must have
• Windchill 12 and 13, knowledge is must have
• Java expertise is needed
• Oracle expertise is needed
• Consulting skills needed
• Strong communication skills needed
